Sexual Problems
Approximately ½ of American women suffer from sexual dysfunction of some kind. In fact, more women suffer from these problems than do men. Very few doctors, even female gynecologists, will even ask their patients about their sex life and try to find solutions for them. Most women are reluctant and embarrassed to bring up their sexual problems with their doctor. Dr. Broun specializes in helping patients to find solutions to these very common problems. Sexual dysfunction can be caused by many factors including physical, hormonal, and psychological issues.
Lack of Desire or Difficulty Becoming Aroused
40% of women experience this form of sexual issue, making it the most common sexual disorder. It is also widely untreated.
Pain During Sex
15% of women experience pain when having or even attempting to have sex. This is frequently due to a lack of lubrication caused by hormonal issues and can be relieved in most patients.
Orgasmic Difficulties
10-15% of women never experience an orgasm and many other have rare or infrequent orgasms. Most times this issues can be overcome through treatment, depending on the individual.
